Katie

At 18 years old within weeks of starting her first year of college, Katie was diagnosed with Ménière’s Disease. Dizziness, vertigo, nausea and a deafening ringing in her right ear were constants in her daily life. Throughout the years, she had undergone two inner ear surgeries and was taking an arsenal of medications, none of which truly helped. It wasn’t until she found acupuncture in her
early 30s that all her symptoms subsided, most of which disappeared completely, and she was able to start living again. Within three months acupuncture changed her life. As an acupuncturist, she intends to pay it forward and help those who suffer all kinds of medical conditions.

Katie graduated with a Masters in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture (now MCPHS), the first acupuncture school in the United States and one of the most prestigious academic institutions in the field. She’s also received advanced training under leading orthopedic acupuncturists Stephen Cina, Patrick Cunningham, Whitfield Reeves, Mike Noons and Anthony Lombardi; Tong Ren Master Tom Tam; and famed Chinese herbalist B.J Wang.
Katie believes in integrating both Eastern and Western approaches, ensuring a proper diet and supplementation
are part of her acupuncture treatment plans. In addition to needles, she oftentimes incorporates supplementary modalities including cold infrared laser, gwa sha, tui na massage, moxibustion, cupping and electro-stimulation.

Lucy

Lucy is a licensed acupuncturist with a strong foundation in orthopedic and Japanese-style acupuncture. Her path to healing began as a Division I track and field athlete at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where she competed in hammer and javelin throw and trained in Olympic lifting. During this time, Lucy double-majored in Nutrition and Sustainable Food & Farming,  integrating her passion for food, wellness and education by leading a nutrition curriculum and school gardening program for local elementary students. Injury prevention and recovery as a female athlete led her to discover the power of acupuncture-particularly its role in movement, resilience, and long-term vitality.

After coaching collegiate throwers at Worcester Polytechnic Institute to two conference titles, Lucy went on to pursue her Master's degree in Acupuncture at MCPHS University in Worcester, where she specialized in orthopedic techniques and traditional Japanese methods. She completed her clinical internship at Boston Medical Center in the Family Medicine Department. In addition to her clinical work, Lucy teaches Japanese acupuncture at MCPHS, where she collaborates on instruction for the Intro to Japanese Acupuncture course. Her practice style is hands-on, rooted in structural alignment, gentle needle technique, and sustainable, holistic care. She also works at a community acupuncture clinic on Cape Cod and is excited to begin treating in Swansea, bringing her practice full circle to the Southeast Massachusetts community where she grew up.

Michelle

Michelle is a licensed practitioner of Chinese medicine in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island, as well as a certified qigong instructor. She received her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and certificate in Chinese herbal medicine from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Florida. Michelle’s background in the Five Element style emphasizes a perspective of health rather than disease, and seeks to treat the root cause rather than only symptoms. This medicine views the individual as a whole being, empowering them towards deep healing. In this way, Michelle works with her patients to encourage a harmonious inner environment in which they can flourish.

In addition to acupuncture, Michelle often incorporates moxibustion, tui na (bodywork including acupressure), and other Chinese medicine modalities into her treatments for increased benefits. Michelle has studied with Dr. Ming Wu, founder of Wu Healing Center and a 20th-generation practitioner of Fengyang Taoist Chinese Medicine. After a decade of tai chi and qigong experience, Michelle trained with Dr. Wu to receive her Fengyang Qigong instructor certification. Qigong is an ancient movement practice, similar to tai chi, that was developed for healing. She offers classes locally and online.
